Home Screen widgets are one of the fastest ways to control your Sonos system. Simply glance at your Home Screen and tap to play, pause, skip tracks, or adjust volume. Available in small, medium, and large sizes, you can choose the widget that best fits your screen layout and information needs.

  1. Long press anywhere on your iPhone Home Screen until apps start jiggling

Live Activities & Dynamic Island

Control Sonos with Live Activities on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Real-time album artwork, track information, and playback controls without opening the app.

When you start playing music through Lyd, a Live Activity automatically appears on your Lock Screen showing album artwork, the current track, artist, and playback controls. On iPhone 14 Pro and later models, this also displays in the Dynamic Island — giving you persistent, glanceable music controls that stay visible while you use other apps.

Managing Live Activities on Apple Watch

Live Activities automatically mirror to paired Apple Watches, which can sometimes be confusing. You can disable Live Activities on your Apple Watch while keeping them on your iPhone:

Option 1: Via iPhone Watch App

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone

  2. Tap "Smart Stack"

  3. Turn off "Allow Live Activities"
